Nikki teaches a physical, dynamic contemporary class, focusing on working both body and mind, leading to articulate and intelligent working. The class is mainly based on a combination of Release and Limon techniques and works through a series of exercises into longer phrases and sequences of movement. It is an energised and engaging class and has a regular following.
Nikki is Head of Contemporary at Performers College and is a contemporary and jazz tutor at Bird College. She also specializes in contact improvisation. Nikki is a passionate and dedicated tutor. She acts as mentor for many students, in choreographic projects and tutoring dissertations.
Nikki was part of Article19’s documentary, Mothers in Dance, alongside Rosie Kay. The project gave Nikki an opportunity to discuss the challenges having a young family and working in dance.
Nikki has taught company class for Drew McOnie, Motionhouse Dance Theatre, Wired Aerial Theatre and FreeFall Dance Company, alongside working as a tutor at Runway House, London.
She is available to teach company class and for rehearsal direction on a freelance basis.
